Do You Like to Play with Math?
There are just three more days to send in a post for the next Math Teachers at Play blog carnival, which will be posted at I Want to Teach Forever this Friday. Remember, the carnival is not just for math teachers! We accept entries from anyone who enjoys playing around with math, even if the only person you “teach” is yourself, as long as the topic is relevant to students or teachers of preK-12th grade mathematics. Old posts are welcome, too, unless they have been published in past editions of this carnival.
This week’s carnival host, Mr. D, is still looking for entries in his 52 Weeks, 52 Lessons project. What is the most important thing you’ve learned about teaching? What one tidbit of advice would you offer to a new teacher? Check out the posted articles, and then send in your own tip.
- Bonus: Today only (September 28), Mr. D is offering a free download of the second edition of his book, Ten Cheap Lessons.
