Parents of K-12 students: Act quickly if you want your student to participate in the (free!) World Maths Day. More than 2 million students from over 200 countries will join together in the annual quest to set a world record in answering math questions — a fun way to improve mental arithmetic skills. Students age 5-18 can register at the World Maths Day website through the end of February, and then sign in to begin practicing their online problem-solving right away. The actual World Maths Day contest takes place on March 3.

This is one of my favorite events. I think it is very important for children to have an appreciation of for math and numbers as it is a skill they will use through-out their whole lives. Excellent post! Feel free to visit me back
